Many folks wouldn’t even think to call in a plumber to pull and reset their toilet when having a new floor installed. Replacing a toilet seems like a fairly simple task. Unfortunately, if not done right, it can ruin that great new floor and the subfloor below. There are several different options that are used to set a toilet. A plumber will usually replace the wax ring, bolts and water supply tubes. A plumber will also look for any future problems that could arise if perhaps a flange is cracked. Any type of leak at the wax seal or flange might not be noticeable until the floor is warped. This could mean another new floor.
